Game Night March-6-2005
This Wednesday, March 9th, at 9:00 pm we will be having a game night in the Hillenbrand Hall cafeteria. It will be a fun evening of gaming. We will have new consoles, older consoles, DDR, etc. Feel free to bring games/systems that you think would be fun to play. We will also be discussing the events we have planned for the rest of the semester.

Ben Potter will give a presentation on C# and DirectX. Ben is the producer of a programming team currently making a fully featured 3d game engine, www.teamneoteric.com. EE 115 7:00pm, Wednesday Sep 29th. Come hear an interesting talk on an interesting language.

   BIG NEWS February-20-2004
The contest details have been finalized. You will be reqruied to bring any source & executables required for your project, as well as be prepared to make a short (2-3 minute) presentation on you game. Brett from EA will be there with goodies. After the presentations there will be time to play the games and vote on your favorite. Brett will also demo the new Bond game.

In a few days there will be an online sign-up form available to register your group. So keep on your project, register for the contest when it is available, and we'll see you at the event!

Why: Because Dell & EA are cool. 
 
We were going to have an event with the PUGG (gamers group) but the event was cancelled by the Residence Hall this week (i.e. Wednesday) which really sucked...but EA & Dell still want to give us some pizza and show off our game. Keep your ears open fora huge lan beginning of next semester & the contest in Febuary.

Alright guys...after taking a poll of several groups our competition has been moved to the beginning of next semester...a date in Febuary will be selected. Important news about the competition: the EA Campus rep has said he will support the competition and get us some great prizes, and we are hoping to get the Dell campus rep on this as well.    EA Sports October-28-2003
Brett the EA Campuse representative has offered to demo SSX3 for Playstation 2, have tshirts to give away, drinks and an $80 gift certificate to gamestop! The preliminary date is set for Wednesday November 5th @ 7pm. We'll let you know of the final date as we get the room reserved....hope to see you there!  
 
Also, he has said he is going to support our competition as well, so expect to see alot of stuff from EA there! Hope development is going well.

   Half-Life Modding October-6-2003
Thursday Oct. 9th, 7:00pm in EE226 David Nelson will give a presentation on Half-Life modding. David will cover things like concept design, sound, world editing, etc. as well as answering any questions you might have. So if you've ever wondered what goes into making a mod, be sure to come out for this one.
